TypeJotterTYPEWRITER JOURNAL

A pared-down journal with the feel of a mechanical typewriter, built so you can just write.

How to use

At a glance

Typewriter feel, and a writing line that never moves or gets covered, so you stay on the writing itself. No feature sprawl. Simple and quick, so journaling becomes a habit you keep. Open the app and write. The date is stamped for you. Split entries across notebooks and find them again. Everything stays on your device. Nothing is shared or uploaded.

What it is

01

Like a typewriter, your line stays put

The place you write never moves or hides. As the words pile up, the paper rolls up. Write light, focused on the page.

Four lines are typed; the writing line stays where it is and the paper rolls up
02

Simple enough to keep coming back

Complicated features are why journals get abandoned. TypeJotter stays plain and quick, so the writing is all that is left.

Open the app and type. The date is stamped for you.

Notes apps so far: tap New, add a title, type the date. TypeJotter: open, write, close. Below, the writing screen with a date beside each line
03

Sort it into notebooks

Daily, goals for the year, ideas, things not to forget. Make the notebooks you want and move between them with a tap.

The notebooks panel opens, switches to Ideas, then a new notebook is made and written in
04

Search past entries and look back

Find what you wrote, fast. Search within a notebook, or browse past days by date.

Typing cat in the index gathers five lines; tapping one goes to that day
